The Circuit Court Office Records, Probate/Guardianship/Insanity Index, and Indenture Index provide a great resource to researchers. These are indexes to loose court records in the courthouse vault. These indexes are key to discovering more about your ancestor's lives.

The indexes are available to everyone on the website. If you would like to obtain a copy of the original records, you may visit the courthouse in person or engage the Society volunteers to obtain them for you. Some files have few pages; some have many. Member Price - $10 for up to 5 pages, $.75 per page thereafter Non-Member Price - $15 for up to 5 pages, $1.00 per page thereafter Maximum Charge, no matter the file size, will be $50 for Members and $60 for Non-Members If you would like to obtain a digital copy of a case file, please follow the instructions for each index and send the Name of the Index and other information to secretary@popecoilhs.org. A cost for the specific file will be sent to you. As we work on an irregular basis, please allow several weeks for the information/file copies. Once payment is received, the records will be sent via e-mail. We regret that at this time we cannot provide paper copies.
